Pryor, MT—On Friday, December 13th, the Pryor School District hosted a public hearing via Zoom to discuss the proposed renovations for Plenty Coups Jr/Sr High School. The hearing allowed community members to learn about the project’s scope, budget, funding sources, and potential impacts.
The renovation project prioritizes six critical upgrades aimed at improving the school’s safety, efficiency, and accessibility:
Roofing Replacement: Addressing structural concerns to ensure a secure facility.
Hazardous Material Abatement: Removing outdated and potentially harmful materials.
HVAC Improvements: Upgrading heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for better climate control.
Safety and Security Enhancements: Installing modern security measures to protect students and staff.
Building Envelope Repairs: Fixing structural components such as walls, windows, and doors to improve insulation and durability.
ADA Accessibility Updates: Ensuring the school complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide an inclusive environment.
