Mrs. Candis Goodknight-Gunn Joins Pryor Public Schools.

Miss Candis, is a laid-back but solid southern girl from Louisiana and Oklahoma. Having been in education since 2004, she is a well-seasoned educator and leader who believes in the capacity of each student to choose success. Miss Candis earned her BA in Literature at East Central University and her Master’s Degree in Policy at the University of Texas at Arlington. She was raised to believe in servant leadership by her grandfather. She was taught to operate from points of wisdom, grace, and understanding while ferociously defending what is right for humanity. She is wife to Robert Gunn, mother to Keith, Isaac, and Timber, and grandmother to Emi, Kenyon, Aaron, and baby Isaac. She and her family spent this last school year in Ruby, Alaska, a 165-person interior village on the mighty Yukon River. She experienced a true Alaska winter with 3 feet of snow, a distinct lack of sunlight, snowmobiles for all travel, and Moose Stew, BBQ Beaver, and Smoked King Salmon on the table! Miss Candis is excited to join Pryor Schools and the Crow people and looks forward to serving the Warrior students, teachers, and stakeholders!
